TOOLS 4 SCHOOLS
A commitment to every child, every classroom, everyday.
TOOLS 4 SCHOOLS is a Bay Area Benefit project, which aims to collect donated schools supplies and funds to assist 10 Bay Area Schools and 1 Philippine barrio school, which have all suffered from tremendous cuts to the education system.
California has faced over $17 billion in cuts to education over the past two years. Every single school district across the Bay Area and the state has felt the pain from these cuts. Our schools are at the very bottom (45th or below) nationwide in per pupil funding. These cuts have forced districts to shift all of their funding to save as many teachers and staff that they can. The result is that there is minimal money left for the basic materials that schools need to operate–paper, pencils, markers, index cards, books and board games.
Helping provide these desperately needed school materials is a way that we can support the kids in our community and ensure that they have the materials they need for their education. If we don’t do it, no one will. Thank you for your help.
