BayAreaBenefit.org was originally just a website, launched to support fundraisers for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy, and the children surviving disasters in the Samoas and the homeless of the Bay Area, in 2009. Today, Bay Area Benefit is incorporated with the State and is currently in the process of registration for nonprofit status.

Bay Area Benefit’s objective is to encourage everyday philanthropy to everyone who can get involved at any level.

Its mission is to serve the disenfranchised, under-represented and distressed members of San Francisco Bay Area communities by issue education and the organization of grassroots events and activities through ‘guerilla philanthropy’ – strategically, at low cost.
