Keesa Ocampo – the co-chair along with Jules Vano for the blankets, jackets and socks drive (oh my) for homeless in the San Francisco Bay Area – posted yesterday her reflections on the drive and how it changed her approach to philanthropy.

The best thing about holiday breaks is that lull that gives you plenty of time to gain clarity and focus. I’ve come into 2010 with exactly that, prepared for what I think will be my best year yet. As I put a close to an amazingly colorful and trying 2009, I experienced first-hand, the turn over of almost 4,000 items collected for Bay Area Benefit’s Project Warmth, which I have to say, changed me.
